The work of a Slavers genealogist is much like that of the research physician. The difference being, often the subject of studies and analysis is the genus Kajira-vulgaris. Fortunately for the subjects it is rarely necessary to dissect them to gain desired results.

Ostia has been developing a very special line of genetically designed slaves. While most breeders are content to put bred slaves together and base their predictions on the lineage of each slave, Ostia works in the field of back tracing gene trees and lineage mapping. This involves research into gene trees and hereditary histories of specific free persons of remarkable status and renown. Currently Ostia’s library of genetic samples is quite large due to patient investment and the careful placing of Kajira in the way of prominent Free males who unwittingly donate their materials to the library. It is rumored that Ostia holds the genetic samples of some Of Gor’s most famous and historic individuals, a rumor she does not feel it proper to dissuade.

Ostia has been on Gor for some time so it seems fitting to finally explain her background .

Born into the slavers caste, she is the cousin of Lucian Simon [corruptquill]. Tall and voluptuous, no wilting flower of a woman; nevertheless she employs more subtle methods then the bola and capture net, preferring instead careful study and scrutiny.

Ostia is not a Slaver who makes her business buying and selling slaves. Her wealth comes from many other means primarily exploiting her family connections. Lately she has been doing rather well selling black wine to the city of Edgington where Lucian is now administrator.

At one time Ostia owned several slaves but over time they were sold off one by one. Tazia her first girl was sent to stay with her sister Lilah who lives in Thentis and acts as a buying agent for black wine. She still misses sera, [timiddelight] who was stolen but paid for handsomely, and emo, also stolen and paid for. Her girl Cadenza fell in love with a kajirus who Ostia freed, [tempest arrow] and was never heard from again. Ostia has very particular tastes obviously she favors owning kajira but she has owned several kajirus. She simply finds them boring.
